Creative direction, branding, website and social design for The Exchange, a renovated and historical building in downtown Freeport, Illinois. It’s home to an event space and community of small businesses with the vision of eventually expanding to a boutique hotel, bar and more. The look & feel materialized into a vibrant, retro with bold patterns, Midcentury touches and an elegant-yet-relaxed vibe.

THE story

The vision behind the Exchange renovation was to build a community of people who believed in developing the downtown area of Freeport. This area had always had many stunning architectural buildings that sat empty. However, in the last few years, several small businesses began to appear, regular annual events started, community groups formed & more. The Exchange aspires to play a significant role in future development by being a home to entrepreneurs, hosting events, creating more businesses & more.
